Toy storage ideas for a Harry Potter themed room?
My son has a fun Harry Potter room, but his toys are kept in a clear plastic chest of drawers. They make his room look bad and I’m worried he’ll tip it over on himself. I thought about a toy chest, but they have a tendency to smash little fingers and the toy they want is always at the bottom of the box, so the toys don’t stay neat. What can I use to keep his toys neatly and safely organized while sticking with the theme?
depending on how high his bed sits off the floor, this might work

This kind of reminds me of the quiditch (I know I spelled that wrong) towers, you could get fabric paint to embelish, or print out the emblems of the 4 hogwarts houses on some iron on transfers, and put a house on each panel. You would want to get 2 or 3, they are not very large

This is multifunctional, and you can personalize it with Harry P. for a nostaligic feel

You could also keep your eye out at thrift stores for a small wood dresser. Paint it black, then take a rectangular sponge and sponge grey paint in a brick pattern onto the dresser, it will look like the outside of hogwarts. You could print out the hogwarts house emblems and put those on the drawers as well, and use that for toy storage. Legos in one drawer, cars in another, action figures in a drawer, etc. I did this in my son’s room, but with camo (his theme) and it keeps everything organized & accesible,
As your child grows, so does they massive toy collection. So it is up to you as their parents to find a proper way to store their fun in an easy way. An important thing we all must do with our children is devise a proper toy storage system and train your children to have a positive clean up attitude. With positive reinforcement and a large enough toy box, you have the perfect way to keep your children’s toys as well as your sanity.
You should choose a kids toy box which can be easily accessed by your child so that they are able to easily take the toys out and put them back in when it is time to clean. Most importantly you want to choose a toy box that is safe and sturdy.
There are many advantages to having a children’s toy chest rather than a large plastic container. First a children’s toy box is specially deigned and constructed for the sole purpose of keeping your kid’s many toys. The height of a children’s toy box is perfect for a small child so that they can access the toys whenever they want. The lids are always made light enough for your child to life and also child safe with corners that are not too sharp. The wood is generally a lighter woof that won’t cut or pinch your child’s precious fingers.
Children’s toy chests and boxes come in a beautiful variety of bright and colorful designs so the box itself becomes a treasure. Not only will you be able to find the perfect toy box for each of your children’s rooms, the fun look of the chest makes it feel like it was sent from Santa’s workshop. There are literally thousands of toy chests and boxes to choose from, let your child help you pick the one that they like the best!
